While this may sound like an impossible feat, this is already an achievable goal. Carbon Cure is currently in use in concrete production and is successful at removing carbon from concrete production.
In addition to their goals for expanding their footprint across the building industry, Carbon Cure is advocating for legislation to transform the concrete industry. In addition to removing carbon from the concrete production process, there are other aspects of utilizing concrete that disrupt ecosystems such as soil disruption and silica dust. Limiting soil disruption and finding ways to limit silica in the environment are both critical to a more sustainable building industry.
